The Alegria Nursing Scholarship sponsored by Pepper Gate Footwear, Inc. is a scholarship competition for nursing students. The aim is to recognize and reward students' journeys and experiences in the field of nursing.
Eligible Nursing Degrees:
- Associate
- BSN
- Accelerated BSN
- MSN
- Entry Level Masters/Direct Entry MSN
- DNP
- PhD
Scholarship Amount:
Awards $2,000 and one pair of Alegria shoes (valued at a maximum of $150) to two students.
The scholarship is used in the current school calendar period, issued to the educational institution, and applied to tuition, fees, books, or on-campus housing.
Alegria Nursing Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements:
- Must be a legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a nursing program accredited by the United States Department of Education.
- Entrants with APO or FPO addresses must state their permanent residence.
- Entries should be from individuals; groups or organizations are not eligible.
- Employees or affiliates of PEPPER GATE, including their families, are not eligible.
- To win, the submission must comply with the designated format and be received within the contest period.
Alegria Nursing Scholarship Submission Guidelines:
- An online application from the Alegria by PG Lite® website, including personal details, school information, and an agreement to the contest rules.
- An essay (max 500 words) detailing one's nursing journey or a reflection on an experience that embodies "This is what happy looks like".
- The submission must be the original work of the entrant and not previously submitted anywhere.
- Poor spelling, grammar, or excessive typos can lead to disqualification.
- Only one submission per entrant is allowed.
