Does it get easier?

I am a 3rd year junior nursing student (second semester). I really love what I am learning and nursing in general so I can’t picture myself doing anything else. I am smart, but I feel clinically incompetent. For example, I still cannot manage to give a patient a bed bath, ambulate them to the bathroom, or put a patient on the bedpan; I am able to do more advanced skills like IV push meds, trach suctioning, foley insertion, NG tube insertion, etc but I can’t seem to do the basic skills expected of a student & I just feel like I am awkward with patients. I’d like to work as a student nurse this summer but I just feel ashamed and insecure.. any suggestions?
