I hate to be THAT nursing student…but I’ve been waiting 2 years (I’m in a BSN program and starting my junior year and have already started med surg and psych rotations) for nursing school to be as hard as everyone makes it out to be. Freshman year was hard academic and content wise. But I feel like I’m the only one who doesn’t feel the need to kill myself studying 3 hours for a quiz a week in advance. So far I’ve been on the deans list, so no grade problems. Am I missing something? Am I not working too hard? I feel like I’m learning so much everyday and am able to apply it to clinical without having my textbook in front of me 24/7 like everyone else in my program. I feel guilty (not trying to boast!) that I don’t spend half the amount of time stressing like my peers do but I get average-above avg grades. It’s not like I get lucky, I truly understand the material. Enough rambling, I wanna know if there’s something I’m doing wrong…or right?
