The Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship is awarded to two students who are either accepted into or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school.
To be eligible, you must be a woman who is either a DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) member, a descendant of a DAR member, or qualify for DAR membership.
Eligible Nursing Degrees:
- BSN
- Accelerated BSN
- MSN
- Entry Level Masters/Direct Entry MSN
- DNP
- PhD
Scholarship Amount:
It’s a $2,500 scholarship.
Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements:
- You must be accepted or enrolled in an accredited school of nursing.
- You must be a DAR member, a descendant of a DAR member, or eligible for membership in DAR.
- The cited DAR member’s name and national membership number must be included in the application.
- A letter of acceptance into a nursing program or a transcript stating that you are in a nursing program must be included with the application.
